Name change

If you made a mistake during the booking creation or your name got changed, you may change the passenger’s name online via your WIZZ Account up to 3 hours before the scheduled time of departure.

If you want to change the traveller’s name completely, a name change fee for each passenger for each flight will be charged.

If you prefer to change the name via the Wizz Air Call Centre, the call centre transaction fee will be charged in addition to the name change fee.

HOW TO MAKE CHANGES

  1. Log in to your WIZZ Account.
  2. Select your booking by clicking "Details" under the flight.
  3. In the right corner of the Booking Overview page, click on the "Make changes" button.
  4. You can change passenger type in "Change passenger details" menu.
  5. The change fee will be calculated automatically based on the newly provided name.

NON-PAYABLE NAME CHANGES

You can make the name corrections online free of charge if you need to adjust a misspelled name, fix a typo or perform other similar correction or supplementing of incomplete data, such as:

  • if there are maximum 3 characters to be changed in the name added to the booking
  • if an abbreviated name needs to be extended (e.g.: John T. Smith) to a full name (e.g.: John Thomas Smith) in order to match the travel document
  • if the gender (title) of the name added to the booking needs to be changed
  • in case your first name and last name are mixed up

It is possible to make only one free name change correction in the booking.

If you are unable to make the correction online, please contact our Call Center to request the correction. If we have reasonable doubt about the identity of the person requesting the correction, Wizz Air might may ask you to provide further information or proof to confirm the identity.   • correction of maximum 3 characters in the name or surname added to the booking
  • change of abbreviated name to a full name to match travel documents (e.g.: John T. Smith to John Thomas Smith)
  • in case your first name and last name are mixed up

We allow one free name correction per booking.

If you have created a booking but changed the name in your passport due to marriage or divorce, please reach out to us to perform a free change of the surname.

Please contact us by filling out a Claim form on our website. We will contact you with details on where to send the required documents. It may take up to 30 days to answer your e-mail.

If your request is urgent, we recommend contacting our Call Centre or Live Chat Services to get your name corrected.

If you have mistakenly swapped your first and last names in the booking, you can correct it in your WIZZ Account free of charge.

If you prefer to change the name via the Wizz Air Call Centre, please note that the call centre transaction fee will be charged.

We do not require a middle name or titles to be provided in the bookings. However, if you wish to add the middle name or a title to match the name in the passport, please reach out to Call Centre or Live Chat Services to get your name corrected. The modification will be performed free of charge.

DATE OF BIRTH

You can change the date of birth for all the passengers during the check-in process. If you are the booking owner, you can change the date of birth in your WIZZ Account directly and it will be modified for all upcoming flights automatically. Please log in and click on Your Profile tab to make changes. If you have already checked in, please contact our Live Chat or Call Centre services to perform the change.

NATIONALITY

You can change your nationality during the check-in process. If you are the booking owner, you can change the nationality in your WIZZ Account directly and it will be modified for all upcoming flights automatically. Please log in and click on Your Profile tab to make changes.
