Our purpose

Our mission

The WIZZ Foundation is a charitable organization established by Wizz Air Hungary to uplift and support communities through targeted initiatives that reflect the company’s commitment to social responsibility. In Hungary, the Foundation is especially active, working hand-in-hand with local organizations to bring hope, joy, and real support to children and families in need.
At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to children facing serious, life-threatening illnesses. We believe that making a child’s dream come true is more than a kind gesture - it brings light into dark moments, offering comfort, joy, and the strength to keep going, even in the toughest times.

Our Vision for Hungary

As we continue to grow, the WIZZ Foundation is committed to expanding its efforts throughout Hungary. This includes deepening collaboration with Csodalámpa and other charitable organizations, increasing the number of children supported through wish-granting and travel assistance, donating more advanced technology and educational resources, and launching new community initiatives that respond to evolving local needs.

Our programs

Wish-Granting with Csodalámpa

In March 2022, we launched a heartfelt partnership with Csodalámpa (The Magic Lamp Wish-Granting Foundation), a respected Hungarian organization that helps fulfill the dreams of children facing serious health challenges. This initiative reflects our commitment to creating meaningful connections and fostering hope in the lives of those who need it most.

We help grant heartfelt wishes, from meeting favourite celebrities to receiving cherished gifts or enjoying unforgettable experiences. These wishes are powerful moments of joy, strength, and transformation.

Our team coordinates directly with Csodalámpa to ensure smooth logistics, offering flexible, compassionate support tailored to each child's needs.

Complimentary Flight Support

Travel can be both expensive and logistically challenging for families dealing with medical hardships. Through partnerships with wish-granting organizations, the WIZZ Foundation covers the full cost of air travel for children with critical illnesses and their families. Once a wish is organized, we make the travel possible - helping families reach their special destination anywhere across the Wizz network. By removing the stress and cost of travel, we allow families to focus entirely on the joy, hope, and healing that these meaningful experiences bring.

Technology Donations

In today’s digital world, access to technology is essential. To help close the digital divide and support education and communication needs, the WIZZ Foundation has donated over 130 IT devices, including laptops and tablets.

While these donations span multiple regions, a significant portion has supported Hungarian schools, hospitals, different organizations, and families.
